Your child must be in your Family Sharing group as a child, using their own Apple Account on their iPhone or iPad. Both devices need a recent version of iOS, and iCloud must be turned on if you want to link them. How do I set up my child's device? Install Guardian Nest on your child's device and choose "My child's device". Tap Allow Screen Time Access and approve with your Apple Account, enter your child's name and age, choose the apps that count toward the daily limit, and create a parent PIN.
